Most often our trips start at first light, and run about six hours on the water, with another hour to take pictures and clean fish. If you want to take fish home with you, all fillets are cleaned and bagged. We STRONGLY encourage catch & release of our big brood fish when conditions are right to ensure their survival. Stripers are great eating, and the smaller ones make the best table fare. If you catch a trophy, you can choose to mount it, or to have a fiberglass replica made. All tackle, lures and baits are furnished by your guide. Most of us carry rain gear. We all use lighter tackle than most guides, and have casting, spinning, or spin-casters available to match your comfort level and skill level. You will need clothing appropriate for the season, a Lake Texoma license, and a cooler to take your fillets home. Bring along any snacks or drinks that you might want. We don’t mind beer in the boat as long as everyone is reasonable. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and don’t forget your camera! The Lake Texoma License is good only for Texoma, and is necessary unless you have both Texas and Oklahoma fishing licenses. It costs $12.00 and is available in stores near the lake after about 6:00am, or at the Sherman or Denison Walmarts 24-hours a day. Every passenger 16 years or over must have a license before boarding.
